Unveiling Ceremony

Unveiling Ceremony

Saturday, June 18th at 11AM

On Saturday, June 18th at 11 AM we are invited to join in solidarity with other local churches, In Wampum Park in Eatontown, to bear witness to a very sobering historical event in New Jersey’s history. Our colleague in ministry, Reverend Terrence Porter of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Redbank, will help convene a  “Community Unveiling Ceremony”, To recognize the only documented lynching in New Jersey, which took place in Eatontown in 1886. This is an opportunity to humbly acknowledge part of our story as people of New Jersey and of Monmouth County, and also, as brothers and sisters in Christ, to move forward together, in an ongoing commitment to reconciliation. Our lead pastor Michael has been invited to offer the prayer of invocation. Ushers are also needed. If you’re interested in assisting, please call or text Brian Croak at 732-754-7275. Dress is casual.
