At its core, the central message of Christianity (the good news about what God has done through Jesus for the whole world) is good news for everyone. For many people, there are things keeping them from faith in Jesus. In this series, we are going to explore some of the most common barriers between people and Christianity.

Christmas season is a time of waiting and preparation for the coming of Jesus - a time called Advent. We celebrate and remember his first coming 2000 years ago, as we look forward to a time where he will come again and make all things new. In the time of Advent we learn to wait - but not just wait. We learn to Prepare Him Room in our hearts and lives. Come and learn with us this Christmas!

We live in a politically charged culture. As Jesus-followers, we are called to give our ultimate allegiance to Jesus and his kingdom – God’s kingdom. How do we do this? How can we faithfully follow the lamb in the midst of a donkey/elephant war?

In a time where so much is not certain, wouldn’t it be nice to hear what is? God is. And that’s the title of our Sunday series – “God Is…” – where we’ll explore what God is: good, great, glorious, and gracious.  And it’s the very good news that we want you to hear.

Jesus very clearly told us what he came to do: to bring good news to the poor, and deliverance to the captives, and sight to the blind, and to set the oppressed free, and to usher in the age of the Lord's favor. If we want to follow Jesus, it means that we are to be a Good News People after him. How can we do the kind of things today that he did then?

It is obvious that we live in a divided world. It’s divided across lines of race, politics, ideology, socio-economics, and much more. The power of the cross of Christ transcends these divisions, and creates a new community, a new path forward, and a new way to follow Jesus by crossing that divide. That’s what this series is about, and that’s why you’re going to want to tune in!

In this coronavirus health crisis, we are at a unique time in our lives where we are far from others. But that doesn’t mean we can’t still move closer to God. In this series, we’ll aim to do just that: draw closer to God through the Psalms.
