Between the Trees

"Between the Trees” is a 3-part series that will explore three trees that can summarize the entire arc of the bible - the one true story of the whole world. Our hope for you in this series is that you'll come to hear and understand the biblical story, seeing what went wrong, how God is making it right, and where we fit in.

Jesus In His Own Words

Jesus In His Own Words

One of the best things about Jesus is that when he came to be with us 2000 years ago, he was with us in all of our lostness, anxiety, sickness, loneliness, and need - and he didn't shy away. In fact, he came close - because he came to help, to heal, to forgive, to save...or as he puts it in the Gospel of John - he came to be bread and light for the world, a Good Shepherd, a vine, and more. In this series, we seek to hear Jesus In His Own Words - what he says about himself, about us, and about our relationship. Join us in hearing Jesus (again!).

Unchained: Finding True Freedom in Following Jesus

Unchained: Finding True Freedom in Following Jesus

Freedom. As Americans, we celebrate it on the 4th of July. It’s one of the highest ideals of our cultural milieu. We’re told to “live free, or die” – as if those are the only 2 options. We can’t imagine living without it. But do we understand what freedom truly is? Do we understand what freedom is really for? Do we understand how to actually “live free”? To discover these answers, we can only look to Jesus. And that’s what we’ll do in our new series, “Unchained: Finding True Freedom in Following Jesus”. Join us, and discover what living in true freedom really means!

Coming Home

Coming Home

Indoor dining, indoor worship, crowded beaches, lessening restrictions, increased social interaction. After a dizzying fourteen months of disruption, we find ourselves slowly and to varying degrees, returning to the life we once knew, returning to the familiar. In Luke 15, Jesus tells a story about a son who, after radically disrupting his own life by leaving his family and home, decides to return to the life he once knew, to the familiar. But what will his father’s reaction be? Will he be welcomed? Will things be like they were before? This is a series about God – who He is and the invitation to find our true home in life with Him.

Restart: Moving Into Life

Restart: Moving Into Life

We have been circling for a while. We have been stuck for longer than we would like. We have felt held back from moving forward. But after a long season of waiting and wanting, moving forward gets a little scary. We are less certain about what we should be doing, less secure in our futures, less confident in our ability to be semi-normally functioning adults in social situations. When it comes to moving forward, we like the idea of forward, but we are a little hesitant about moving. As we gear up for the spring and summer, as we look forward to a fall that promises a semblance of normalcy, how can we move into life with faith, hope, and love?

Grace Through Faith

Grace Through Faith

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith…” These words that Paul wrote capture so much of what Christians have believed for nearly 2000 years. They capture God’s action towards us, as they call for a fitting response from us. They challenge our ideas about God, ourselves, our world, and our work, and they free us to believe something better. But “grace…through faith” is not just a concept, it’s a calling. And in this mini-series, we invite you to receive it.

Days of Hope

Days of Hope

There’s good reason to look forward in hope towards better days: vaccinations are happening, life is ‘reopening’, we’ll be able to hug our loved ones again soon, and so on. And that’s all good. As Jesus followers, not only can we look forward in hope to better days, but we can look back to find true hope for all of our days. In this new series, we will look back to four Days of Hope – to explore how they lead us to have hope in ALL of our days!

Be Still

Be Still

Every winter, apple trees become “dormant.” They do not produce fruit and, on the surface, it seems like nothing important is happening. They just sit there – cold, dreary, and fruitless. However, winter “dormancy” for apple trees – though it seems like a wasted season – is actually vitally important for their health and growth. Similarly...it’s winter. It’s cold. It's snowy. And COVID is still here. With our eyes on spring, warmer weather, and the hope of a vaccine, it’s easy to lose sight of what God wants to do in you right now - even in this "dormant" season. So here’s the question: How might God be inviting you to grow during this season? That's what we'll being to explore in our new series, "Be Still". Check it out here!
