How can we help Ukraine?

How can we help Ukraine?

As you are aware, war has broken out in Ukraine. Women and children are escaping as refugees, people are injured and dying, the country is the grip of fear and grief, peace has been lost. As Michael said last week via email, we feel helpless – but we want to help anyway.  So the question is, how can we help? Two ways:

through prayer and through generosity.

First, prayer.

In our Community Groups this week, we will spend the majority of the time in prayer for the war in Ukraine.  If you are not part of a Community Group but would like to join us in prayer together, contact Matt Agresti and he will connect you with a Group (hurry though, many Groups meet tonight!). You could also reach out to one of our Group leaders directly.

Second, generosity.

We give because God has given everything to us. We give because we have more than we need. We give because our brothers and sisters across the globe are in need.

We encourage you to give any reputable relief organization, such as World Vision or Convoy of Hope.

Pray and give today.

Thank you,
Park Church Leadership

Announcing our new Music Team Lead!

Announcing our new Music Team Lead!

As you may know, Park Church has been blessed with a long, rich history of music – a history that’s been animated by gifted musicians, a unique sound, and a heart for the God who is worthy of our praises.

When it comes to music at Park, COVID has taught us two things.

First, we are beyond grateful for the handful of gifted musicians (like Pete, John, and Sydney to name a few) who have worked together to provide faithful musical leadership on Sunday mornings throughout the pandemic. They, and all others who helped, have been a gift.

Second, if music at Park is going to grow and flourish, we need a Music Team Lead. Someone not simply to lead musically on Sunday mornings, but someone to organize, coordinate, and lead a growing band of musicians.

It’s with this in mind that, and as we said last Sunday,

we are excited to introduce our new Music Team Lead: Marcos Martí!

Starting November 7th

Fall is upon us, leaves are changing, pumpkins are out, and Halloween is coming! We hope you’re doing well on this rainy day.  We want to take a moment to share an important announcement with you.

We have decided that starting in November, we will move to one Sunday service at 9:30AM.

That means that this Sunday (October 31) will be the last Sunday with two services for the time being.  There are many reasons why we are making this change now.

COVID-Update

We hope you are enjoying this beautiful beginning to the fall. As we are entering the fall with two services, expanding Park Kids to include the nursery at the 9:00 service, and beginning our next season of Community Groups and Youth Ministries, we thought it would be important to update you on our COVID-19 guidelines.

What continues to guide us is our call to love our neighbors by reducing the spread of COVID-19 to the best of our ability.

As we have done throughout the pandemic, we are looking to follow the CDC’s and state’s recommendations.

So with that in mind, here are our most up-to-date guidelines:

Current State of Affairs: Sundays

Current State of Affairs: Sundays

For as long as we've been at 31 Park, we've always had two services (September-June). Since COVID struck in March of 2020, we've gone back and forth between an online video worship experience, one outdoor service, one indoor service, etc...but now that fall 2021 has come, we are going back to two services: 9:00 & 10:30. We are excited to make this move because we believe that God wants more and more people to hear the good news of Jesus, and more services means more empty seats...which means more opportunities for you to invite more and more people in...and we want you do to just that! In a COVID-world, we are faced with some new challenges that we have needed to adjust to:

Sunday Services this Summer!

Sunday Services this Summer!

If you’ve seen the most recent update to New Jersey covid restrictions, then you know that as of this Friday, the mask mandate and the social-distancing mandate have been lifted for a number of venues, including churches.

Up until this point, the biggest barrier to moving indoors for Sunday worship has been kids. We simply haven’t had the space to responsibly provide Park Kids indoors while maintaining social distancing. But now the social distancing mandate has been lifted, which begs the question: What does this mean for Park?
