We Need to Know the Value of Our Friends in Christ
Faith can be tough stuff, because faith always traverses the frontier where light meets dark. It’s too tough a road to go it alone, and in fact, we can’t. We shouldn’t even try, because you don’t have to. We are here for you. And you’re here for us too.
We Need to Know Our Past
Some of us revel in our yesterdays. Some of us would rather forget. And some of us can’t. But all of us need to know yesterday’s importance so that we can set out towards tomorrow today.
We Need to Know our Faith
Sometimes we mistakenly think that other people should grow our faith for us, but they can’t. They can’t for the same reason they can’t train for the marathon for us. It’s our race to run. It’s our faith to work out. And it’s God’s pleasure to work in us.
We Need to Know Our Lord
Christian faith is faith in Jesus. So that means that you need to know him. Jesus, as he really is. Jesus, maybe, as you never knew him. Jesus, who never stops surprising us.
We Need to Know How to Think & Love
For all of our lives, we’ve been taught what to think. The best of our teachers, parents, and leaders will teach us how to think. What Jesus wants is for us to think again: to think like him, to become like him, to love like him.
We Need to Know the Ending
It’s a lot easier to get there if you know that you’ll make it, and Philippians 1 promises you that you will. That’s faith. The question is, how do we know it - and how do live like it's true?
Sunday: Jesus is Forever (Easter)
Nothing lasts forever, but Easter tells us that Jesus does. And that fact changes the entire world, not least of all yours. Watch this and see for yourself!
Saturday: Jesus Means Assurance
Where can you go that is outside of God’s reach? The Psalms promise us that there is no such place. Jesus proves it true in his death. He took on our death so that we could be assured of life. This really changes things. In fact, it changes everything.
Friday: Jesus Means Forgiveness
"Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” This is what was said of Jesus at the beginning of his work. At the end of his work we see this Lamb slain to accomplish this very purpose. Listen to why this Friday is so good, and how it changed the world forever.
